Biography

I joined the Invibe team within the INT in August 2017. My integration was supported by a Marie Slodowska Curie RI grant. I was hired as a tenure research scientist (Vhargé de Recherche) for the CNRS in January 2019.

The main goal of my research is to understand how cortical networks manage to make decision based on different sources of information. I am particularly interested in understanding how prefrontal, parietal and occipital cortices interact when we are comparing what we are looking at (sensory representation) to what we are looking for (cognitive representation).

This project finds its foundations in previous results (Ibos & Freedman, Neuron 2014, 2016; elife 2017; Freedman & Ibos 2018). I recently hypothesized that one area of posterior parietal cortex (LIP) integrates and compares bottom flow of sensory information and top-down cognitive signals.

I was recently awarded with an ANR JCJC. I am looking for two motivated and talented doctorate students in the course of 2020.
